A body believed to be that of missing 18-year-old Bath teenager Sammuel Amin has been recovered from the River Avon in the city centre.
The body has not yet been formally identified, but Sammuel’s family has been informed by Avon and Somerset Police.
Police divers searching the river near the city centre made the discovery at around noon today.
Samuel Amin, 18, was last seen by friends at the OPA bar on North Parade in Bath at around 2am on Saturday 13th September.
Police began searching the river and surrounding area on Monday morning.
Police horses were also being used to assist in the search.
Since 2009 there have now been six deaths in the River Avon in Bath, including James Bubear, 18, in 2011 and Casper Flagg and Kharunigan Jayanatham, 21, in 2009.
Last year an 850-yard fence was installed along the river bank in an attempt to improve the safety along the river.
