Independent Bath Boutique, Aria Lingerie, on George Street, is doing its part for Breast Cancer this October by supporting the Against Breast Cancer charity with a Bra Bank collection in store.
Coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness month, Aria Lingerie is appealing to women from Bath and beyond to donate their unloved or unwanted bras into its Bra Bank, to help raise vital funds for Against Breast Cancer charity research.
All donations will receive a complementary £5 off a full price bra, purchased or ordered in store on that day.
The charity exists to improve detection and survival after cancer diagnosis and the bra donation project provides second hand bras to women in Africa as well as contributing to small businesses by allowing them to support their families through selling textiles.
Any bras that are genuinely beyond redemption are dismantled and recycled.
Shirley Kelly, owner of Aria Lingerie said: “We are delighted to be doing our part for the Against Breast Cancer charity and their ongoing research into the disease.
“Most of us have been affected in some way or other by cancer so what better way to show your support and get involved than by checking through your drawers and donating your old or unused bras?
“In return we will give every lady who buys a bra on the day they donate £5 off a new bra, which is the perfect incentive to bin your bras and do your bit for charity too.”
Aria Lingerie has a bright pink bra bank by the store door. Donate your old bra during October at Aria Lingerie on 3 George Street, Bath, open between 10 – 5pm Monday to Saturday.
