Bath’s famous male choir are inviting men from across the area who sing to an open evening at their rehearsal next Tuesday 2nd September.

The event will take place at Beechen Cliff Methodist Church, Shakespeare Avenue, Bear Flat, Bath.

Founder conductor Grenville Jones said: “If you enjoy singing in the car, in the shower or get a standing ovation when you do karaoke then why not come along and discover what it is like to sing in a male choir.”

Bath Male Choir hit the national headlines when they reached the finals of the BBC’s Last Choir Standing series and since that time have gone on to sing across the UK and Europe.

They have performed at a number of civic occasions representing Bath. In July they were guests at the annual Mayor Making Ceremony when TV celebrity chef Mary Berry received the Freedom of the City.

In October they leave for Japan on a ten-day tour, the first amateur male choir ever to visit Japan. They go to Kyoto and Tokyo and will be guests of the Japan Male Choir Association at a major choral festival on Japan Culture Day, 3rd November.

For more information, see the website www.bathmalechoir.org or go along next Tuesday between 7.45pm-9.45pm to Beechen Cliff Methodist Church to find out more about Bath Male Choir.
