An office administrator from Portsmouth is celebrating after scooping over £2,000 worth of Christmas gifts after winning them in a Bath BID competition.

Julie Picton, 31, was the lucky winner of the prizes after entering a competition which was organised by the Bath Business Improvement District Company to drive footfall and interest in shopping in Bath.

The prizes which include a Bath Thermae Spa twilight experience for two, a luxury Marks & Spencer Hamper, a VIP styling session at Hobbs, various gift vouchers and pair of designer sunglasses from the Milsom Eye Co at Milsom Place, were generously donated by retailers in Bath to create a Christmas festive promotion and highlight the variety of unique and interesting places to visit and shop in Bath.

The “12 prizes of Christmas campaign” was broadcast on radio station Heart (103 FM) during November.

Juile Picton said “I am absolutely delighted to win these prizes particularly as I rarely win anything.  I am planning on coming back to Bath with my partner in January when it is my birthday and really spoil myself.  I have been to Bath a few times to shop with my friends and it is a beautiful place to return to again.”

Andrew Cooper, Manager of the Bath Business Improvement District Company said “Promotions that raise the profile of what Bath has on offer are of real benefit to the businesses in the city.  It helps us showcase and remind people why they should return to shop in Bath time and again.”
