An improved on-line webpage for viewing and commenting on planning applications has been launched by Bath & North East Somerset Council.
The planning application page attracts around 8,000 page views every month and web users can access all sorts of information on hundreds of applications. Features on the revamped page include options to search planning applications by reference number, partial address, ward and parish, an advanced search facility, a weekly list of new or decided planning applications, map searches for applications on a property and planning applications of particular interest to the public, as well as a clearer design.
Councillor Tim Ball (Lib-Dem, Twerton), Cabinet Member for Homes and Planning, said, “Information about planning applications must be available to the public easily and conveniently. Bath & North East Somerset Council has looked at the best way of doing this and significantly revised the look, feel, and functionality of the webpages. We are very open to any feedback the public may have about the improvements.”
Links to the new search facility are on the Planning Applications web page at http://www.bathnes.gov.uk/planningapplications – click on ‘View and comment on current applications’.
Feedback about the new pages is welcome.
