Former BA1 Records singing sensation Gabrielle Aplin is celebrating signing a recording deal with music giants Parlophone Records.

Gabrielle recently supported Gotye on his European tour and is now on an 11-date tour of UK and Ireland – with eight venues already sold out.

Gabrielle is being joined on her tour by fellow BA1 Records musicians Bite the Buffalo, who are also good friends of hers. For local fans she is playing at Bristol Thekla on the 12th of March.

Gabrielle, who comes from Bath, said: “I’m really excited and proud to be part of such a strong label, alongside some of my favourite bands and artists. I can’t wait to start working on my debut album.”

Max Weedon, Head of BA1 Records, said: “This is epic news for Gabrielle and we are all super proud of her. Her friends Tallis and Stos, who both now work for BA1 Records, have especially asked to send their heartfelt congratulations to their former classmate!

“To sign for a record label that is the home of the Beatles, Blur and Coldplay is an incredible achievement.  If she carries on working hard and writing songs that resonate with people Gabrielle is going to go far, and fully deserves all the success that comes her way. ”
