Leading charity Action for Children and The World of Eric Carle™ are encouraging children’s centres, nurseries and groups for under-fives in Bath to host a ‘Giant Wiggle’ during the week of 21st – 27th March.

The ‘Giant Wiggle’ will celebrate the UK’s best-selling children’s book, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar™’.

The sponsored events will bring together under-fives to form a giant caterpillar conga line and take part in creative storytelling, arts, crafts, nature trails and healthy eating – all aspects of the much-loved children’s book.

Action for Children’s Ruth Sorby said: “We want to celebrate The Very Hungry Caterpillar™ by encouraging children to get active and have fun.

“The money raised by your Giant Wiggle will help us to support disadvantaged children, young people and families in the heart of communities in Bath, and across the UK.”

More than 85,000 children and families have taken part in the Giant Wiggle since 2014, raising more than £150,000 for Action for Children.

Through its children and family centres, Action for Children provides early years child development, learning and childcare services to thousands of tots around the country.
