The uncapped 20-year-old, who turned out for England A in the autumn, is joined by five other Bath players in the party that will gather at the England Rugby Performance Centre, Pennyhill Park in Bagshot, Surrey, on Tuesday 27th January for a day’s training before travelling to Girona, Spain, to continue preparations.

Back rows Guy Pepper and Sam Underhill, scrum-half Ben Spencer, centre Max Ojomoh and wing Henry Arundell are other Blue, Black & White men selected by England head coach Steve Borthwick prior to a Six Nations campaign that begins with a match against Wales at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, on Saturday 7th February.

In addition to Sela, there are two other uncapped players in the squad – Greg Fisilau (Exeter Chiefs) and Emmanuel Iyogun (Northampton Saints).

Borthwick said: “We’ve picked a squad with a good balance of experience, leadership and exciting potential.

“The margins in the Guinness Six Nations are incredibly fine so our aim over the coming days is to come together quickly, prepare thoroughly and make sure we’re ready to perform.

“If we prepare well and keep demanding the highest levels from one another, it puts us in the strongest possible position when the Championship begins.”

Following the clash with Wales, England will face Scotland at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, on Saturday 14th February and take on Ireland at Allianz Stadium on Saturday 21st February.

England then travel to Rome to face Italy on Saturday 7th March, their final match taking place in Paris against France on Saturday 14th March.
