Bath Rugby Foundation has announced that, as part of their tenth anniversary celebrations, comedian Russell Howard will stage an exclusive benefit gig on their behalf.

Russell will be at Komedia in Bath on Thursday 16th January 2014. General admission will cost £27.50 plus a booking fee. A limited number of Meal Deal tickets will be available at £38 plus booking fee.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 15th November. Visit www.komedia.co.uk/bath or www.bathrugbyfoundation.com for more information.

David Trick, Bath Rugby Foundation fundraiser said: “We are very excited about the upcoming Russell Howard benefit gig for Bath Rugby Foundation and incredibly grateful he is going to play such an important part in our ongoing tenth anniversary celebrations.

Russell Howard and his family have been great supporters of Bath Rugby Foundation to date. This is Russell Howard’s second benefit gig for us, the first of which was a sell out and hilarious as you would expect. His father also recently participated in our John O’Groats to Land’s End cycle ride on our behalf.

“We can’t thank them both enough for their support and we’re looking forward to yet another fun filled evening in the New Year. Get your tickets quick, it is a guaranteed sell out and it will be a night to remember!”

Russell Howard is one of the UK’s most successful comedians. He is the writer and star of BBC Three’s most successful entertainment show Russell Howard’s Good News, which has so far run for 8 series.

His 2011 sell-out arena tour Right Here, Right Now played to more than 300,000 fans including three sold out dates at the 15,000 seater O2 Arena. He will be returning to the stage in 2014 with his latest arena tour, Wonderbox, including four shows at the Royal Albert Hall and a string of international dates.

Bath Rugby Foundation is an independent charity which aims to enhance the lives of children and young people in the local area through sport.

Through their award-winning Education and Inclusion programmes, the Foundation strives to motivate, raise self esteem, increase confidence and improve life skills, by imparting the values found in rugby – camaraderie, loyalty, discipline and respect.

Bath Rugby Foundation is 100% funded through sponsorships, fundraising and donations.
