Pupils at Moorlands Schools Federation in Bath are kicking single-use plastics into touch after a donation of refillable water bottles and sports kit from sponsors Wessex Water.
The youngsters now look extra smart and are sure to be well hydrated during the warmer months, thanks to their new kit and recyclable Wessex Water bottles.
Wessex Water’s Hydrate Feel Great campaign promotes the health and cost benefits of tap water, as well as encouraging people to use refillable bottles rather than buying water or other drinks in single-use plastic ones.
Moorlands Schools Federation spokesperson Shelia Caffrey said: “The children know all about the importance of staying hydrated, especially when playing or training, so the water bottles are very welcome.
“We’re really grateful to Wessex Water for sponsoring our after-match shirts, which look fantastic.”
The bottles and kit were presented by Wessex Water’s Andrew Russell, a Moorlands parent, who said: “We want to make sure everyone can tap into a healthy lifestyle, whether young or old.
“We’re delighted to support Moorlands Schools Federation in their love of sport and looking after the planet by cutting down on their plastics use.”
