Police launch appeal after woman hit by car which failed to stop in Southdown

Avon and Somerset Police are trying to trace the driver of a small red car which failed to stop after injuring a woman in the Southdown area of Bath yesterday morning.

The incident happened just before 9am on Tuesday 28 June in Mount Road, Southdown.

A woman in her 20s was on the pavement with her toddler, waiting to cross the road, when the car struck her arm and continued travelling towards Englishcombe Road.

She was taken to the Royal United Hospital, Bath, for treatment to a suspected fracture. The child was uninjured.

The car driver, anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any other information which could help is asked to contact PC 4717 Kelley Garrett in Bath through the online form here: www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact, or by calling 101 quoting reference 248 of Tuesday 28th June.
