A police helicopter was seen over Bath this morning, Monday 10th July, after a man was seen falling into the river near Larkhall.
Avon & Somerset Police say they were called to Grosvenor Bridge Road at around 9am after receiving a report of a concern for welfare.
A member of the public reported seeing a man fall into the river.
Officers were deployed to search the area, along with the National Police Air Service (NPAS) helicopter.
A body was located, which police have said matched the description of the man. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are preparing a file for the coroner.”
