A man from Combe Down appeared before Bath magistrates on Wednesday 25th February charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and causing criminal damage to a police vehicle.

Bath Magistrates’ Court
The three charges against Adam Murray, of Fox Hil, relate to 13th September 2025.
The 45-year-old is accused of a robbery at Sainsbury’s at Odd Down of various spirits and goods worth £144.30.
He was said to have been in possession of a screwdriver at the store without lawful authority or reasonable excuse.
The criminal damage charge involves an allegation of spitting in the police vehicle after he was arrested.
As robbery is an indictable only offence, magistrates committed Murray to Bristol Crown Court, where there will be a plea and trial preparation hearing on 31st March.
He was granted unconditional bail.
