Investigation launched after teenager assaulted outside Bath College

An area outside of Bath College on James Street West was cordoned off yesterday evening, Wednesday 21st February, following an assault on a teenager.

Avon and Somerset Police were called to an incident in the city centre at 5.16pm, and a cordon was set up outside Bath College’s Roper Building shortly afterwards, partially closing the road.

A teenager was taken from the scene to the Royal United Hospital, with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is believed to have involved two teenagers, but it’s unknown if they are students at the college.

A scientific investigations van attended, with forensic officers photographing the scene.

Police have said their enquiries are ongoing.
