A 37-year-old man has been arrested by Avon and Somerset Police in connection with two suspicious fires in Bath last week, at a barber’s shop and a tattoo shop.

The man, from the Bath area, has been released under investigation.

Police earlier released an appeal for witnesses following the two suspicious fires.

The first happened at a barber’s shop in Bath Road, Saltford at about 1.45am last Wednesday morning, 9th August.

A second fire was reported at a tattoo shop in Cork Place in Bath later in the morning at about 3.15am.

Both fires are being treated as suspicious but at this time are not being linked.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have information to help their enquiries.

If you are able help,  call  101, quoting 5217181627 for the Cork Place incident and 5217181621 for the Saltford incident.
