Wera Hobhouse has announced the winner of her Christmas card competition, with the winning design set to be delivered to households across the city as the MP’s Christmas greeting.
Emily Willis, who is 10 years old and attends St Stephen’s School in Bath, drew the winning design which features Bath Abbey and the Christmas Market.
The competition, which launched in September, was open to all junior school children in Bath, and dozens of local children entered from schools and Cub Scout troops from all over the city.
Wera said of Emily’s design: “It’s beautiful. I was amazed at the level of detail, the style, and the creativity that Emily demonstrated with her design.
“I know she spent a long time on the drawing, and I’d like to thank her for making my Christmas card so special.”
“I’d also like to thank everyone else who entered the competition. Art means a huge amount to me.
“It’s a wonderful way to express yourself, and I hope all the entrants keep painting, drawing and glittering!”
