Local charity the B&NES Carers’ Centre held two successful choral concerts earlier this month to celebrate their 20th birthday and to kick off the festive season.

The two concerts, which were held in Chilcompton and Bath, raised over £1200 for carers.

They were generously performed by the Mendip Male Voice Choir, Sing Your Heart Out ladies’ group and the Marshfield Male Voice Choir.

The Chilcompton event attracted over 100 guests.

The money raised will go towards the free services for unpaid carers that the Centre provides across Bath and North East Somerset.

“We were delighted to have raised such a large amount,” said Janine Woodward-Grant, deputy chief executive at the Carers’ Centre.

“It really will help ensure local individuals and families get the support that they need and are able to take a break.”

The Carers’ Centre would like to thank the choirs, their volunteers, St John’s Church in Chilcompton and the United Reformed Church in Bath.
