On Wednesday 11th December, six of Bath’s charitable organisations will come together once again for the 2019 ‘Spirit of Giving’ Christmas celebrations, and everyone is invited to join in the festivities.

Now in its second year, the Spirit of Giving will bring together Bath Spa University, Bath Abbey, The Roman Baths Foundation, University of Bath, Bath Percent Club and this year’s venue hosts, The Holburne Museum, as they invite the public to an evening of fun and thanking local donors for their support, while recognising the impact that philanthropic donations have made to the city.

The event runs from 6.30pm until 8.30pm, and entertainment includes carols and songs from Bath Spa University Ladies Choir, refreshments, a raffle prize draw and a view of The Holburne’s latest Rembrandt and Matisse exhibitions.

Entry is £10 and all proceeds from the evening will go towards further enabling the world-class research, education, art and heritage that is delivered in the city.

Dr Andy Salmon, Pro-Vice Chancellor of External at Bath Spa University, said: “Building on the success of last year’s efforts, we are delighted to be bringing this heart-warming event to Bath once again to give thanks and celebrate.

“We are extremely fortunate to have the support of such generous philanthropic individuals and companies.

“We are looking forward to sharing with them how their contributions have made a significant difference to the lives of so many in the city.”

Last year, more than 140 guests enjoyed an evening at the Roman Baths and Pump Rooms.

Tickets for this year’s celebrations can be purchased via The Holburne Museum.
