The pedestrian crossing point at the bottom of Prior Park Road in Bath is to be moved closer towards Widcombe Parade, to make it easier for people crossing the road.

The new location is in response to public feedback, and is designed to enable better visibility for motorists and pedestrians when people are crossing the road.
The works to move the pedestrian crossing point are scheduled to begin on Monday 14th May, and are expected to last for one week, with off-peak road closures (9:30am to 3:30pm) of Prior Park Road at its junction with Widcombe Hill.
A signed diversion route will be in place during the closure.
Councillor Mark Shelford (Conservative, Lyncombe) Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment, said: “We thank road users for their patience whilst these works to improve road safety are carried out.
“We will endeavour to ensure that the works are completed as quickly as possible and with minimal disruption.”
To complete the works, the roundabout will be resurfaced under night-time closures (8pm to 6am) during the week of 21st May. The resurfacing works are anticipated to take up to one week.
