Team Bath is launching free and interactive online exercise classes as part of a timetable of fitness activities designed to help local people stay in and work out.

Trainers from the Team Bath Gym & Fitness Centre will be broadcasting classes live from their own homes, while gym partners Matrix Fitness will also be streaming online sessions with renowned master trainer Matt Gleed.

They are being supplemented by home workout videos, which can be done at any time, in such areas as core strength, high-intensity interval training, step classes and yoga.

To keep everyone involved, Team Bath Netball’s Superleague stars and Team Bath Tennis players and coaches are also setting fun daily challenges for people to have a go at and share their attempts online, while Team Bath Tribe will be providing fun activities for children to do.

Stephen Baddeley, Director of Sport at the University of Bath, said: “It is important for people to keep active during these difficult times, both for physical and mental health reasons, and we hope these activities prove to be fun and inspiring to people of all ages. Stay in, work out and, most importantly, have fun.”
