A new website has been launched, Ecojam Bath, which brings together the city’s green and ethical scene in one place online for the first time.
Ecojam provides a place for people to discover local green businesses and initiatives, search for ethical jobs, trade free stuff and tune into local news, events and discussions.
Rebecca Fox, Project Manager at Ecojam Bath said: “I have always felt that our city needs a hub where people can connect with each other, share ideas and find out how to get involved in Bath’s green scene.
“Based on the success of Ecojam Bristol we were sure that Ecojam would be brilliant for Bath and it has been great to meet so many people in the Bath community who feel the same way!”
Bath has a vibrant green and ethical scene, and visitors to the site may be surprised by the diversity of what’s going on in their city.
They could visit the site to track down their local farmers’ market and end up finding their dream job, de-cluttering their life or joining a discussion on turning Bath green!
The website is split into five sections: green events, the green directory, green jobs, green news and free stuff.
In the directory you can find a veg box scheme, hunt out vintage clothes boutiques and discover local restaurants with impressive green credentials.
Or you can search for a job or get involved by finding interesting local events to attend.
You can even give away or acquire free treasures in the free stuff section. Also in the pipeline is the green news section, which will bring together key local sources to provide green and ethical news.
Ecojam Bath has received such a positive response from the community so far, and now the team are encouraging more organisations and businesses to add content to the site.
All listings are completely free as the Ecojam website is designed to be as inclusive as possible.
