Popular venue Komedia Bath has teamed up with Raise the Bar for a special charity fundraising event in aid of Bath Mind, which provides mental health and wellbeing services across B&NES.
Bath Mind is a local charity providing services to improve, prevent and maintain mental health and wellbeing across the Bath and North East Somerset area.
At the special Mental Health Awareness Week show on Thursday 16th May, there will be music, comedy and spoken word performances, as well as stories and a presentation from the team at Bath Mind and an exhibition of art and photography by Bath Mind Wellbeing Groups.
The event has been described as ‘an unforgettable night of laugh-out-loud, thought-provoking, emotional and powerful performances’ to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
The event will feature actor, rapper, one half of ‘Rizzle Kicks’ and prominent mental health awareness advocate Jordan Stephens, as well as stand-up comic, writer and actor Becky Brunning and acclaimed comedian, NHS doctor, journalist and campaigner Dr. Phil Hammond.
Tickets are priced at just £5, but you can donate more on the night if you’d like to, with all proceeds going toward mental health awareness and positive action in the community.
While affiliated to national charity Mind, the Bath Mind branch receives no direct funding from them.
