A group of around 40 supporters braved the cold water temperatures and took a dip in a lake at the West Country Water Park in aid of local charity RUHX.

The event, on Thursday 6th April, was held to raise funds for RUHX, the official NHS charity for the Royal United Hospital.
Participants entered the water with glowing floats, lighting up the lake for patients and NHS staff.
Lifeguards were also present to ensure everyone’s safety. The event marked the first Night Glow for RUHX.
One participant described it as an ‘incredible experience’ and said: “I’ve never done cold water swimming before, but had always wanted to try – this event was the perfect opportunity to give it a go. It totally invigorated me and made me feel so alive!”
Ellie Wilkinson, Events and Community Officer, RUHX said: “We want to say a huge well done and thank you to everyone who took part and made the night truly magical.
“This was our first cold water dip in the dark, and we’re so grateful to our community for coming out in support of our hospital.
“Over £2,500 has been raised in sponsorship so far and we expect this to rise over the next few weeks.
“Every penny raised will help the RUH to do more for our patients, staff and our community.”
