Peasedown St John’s biggest ever ‘yard sale’ is set to take place on Saturday 13th July, organised and coordinated by The Meeting Place coffee shop.

Properties across the village will have their homes, garages, front gardens and yards open all at the same time, with householders selling unwanted furniture, clothing, children’s toys and electrical equipment.

Peasedown St John Residents’ Association is also taking part in the sale.

Cllr Karen Walker (Independent, Peasedown St John) said: “Two of the Association’s members, Lindsey and Phil Keating, are selling everything on the ground floor of their Barn in Wellow Lane.

“Having travelled and lived in many countries around the world, they haves a huge collection of brand-new clothes, designer labels, DVDs and furniture. And all of it must go!

“All money raised will go to the Residents’ Association’s Loneliness Appeal.”

The Barn is located behind the Red Post Inn, Wellow Lane. Doors will be open between 12 noon – 4pm, the same time as all the other properties taking part in the Yard Sale on 13th July.

For full details, and a copy of the Yard Sale map, pop into the Meeting Place Coffee Shop on Bath Road or call 01761 300519.

“Pop in when the door opens at 12 noon before everyone else does!”, added Karen.
