Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance is set to mark 100 years by showcasing over 400 children performing dances selected from shows spanning the past century.
Kicking off with six performances at Hayesfield School, Snapshot will culminate in two almost sold-out shows at the Theatre Royal in Bath.
The performances will feature dances from the 1920s through to modern day, intertwined with current choreography.
From tap to ballet, hip hop to contemporary and pointe to jazz, and with children aged between three and 18, this show has been created to appeal to all.
Annette Hind, Principal of Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance, said: “The pandemic took so much away from children.
“This is our chance to come together to celebrate not only our dance school’s 100 anniversary, but perhaps more importantly to pay homage to our students’ resilience, talent and love of dance.”
The dance school was originally founded by Annette’s grandmother, Dorothy, in 1924 and since its origin, has produced West End stars, award-winning choreographers and professional dancers now scattered across the world.
