Hundreds of people gathered at Peasedown St John’s sixth Christmas in the Park on Saturday, organised by members of the award-winning Party in the Park festival team.

Christmas in the Park featured live music and carols from the 20-piece Bath Spa Band, hot food and drink, a visit from Santa, festive puppetry and a range of Christmas stalls.

Sing-a-longs were led by members of Peasedown St John Methodist Church, and it even snowed during the event.

Andrea Feeney is Peasedown Party in the Park’s Volunteer Coordinator. She said: “Thank you to everyone who came along to Christmas in the Park. It was great to see so many people taking part, singing carols, and getting into the festive spirit.

“Every year, the team try to create a magical event so everyone goes home afterwards feeling just a bit more excited about Christmas.

“Thanks to the support of our volunteers, stall holders and event organisers, there are now a lot more people feeling just that little bit more Christmassy.”

The festivities were sponsored by Tesco, with three of their local stores all providing food that was eaten on the day.
