For the second year running, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody has retained its crown after being voted Number One in ‘The Breeze Favourite 500’ by listeners across the Bath area.
The accolade tops off an incredible time for the band, following the huge success of the movie of the same name.
The countdown was played in full across the Breeze, which can be heard on 107.9 FM, over the Easter break.
‘The Breeze Favourite 500’ continued until the Number One track, Bohemian Rhapsody, was played in full just before 7pm on bank holiday Monday.
Bohemian Rhapsody beat Ed Sheeran’s track ‘Perfect’ into the Number Two slot. Adele, Queen, David Bowie and George Michael each scored two tracks in this year’s top twenty.
Although only claiming second place, overall Ed Sheeran still secured three hits in the top twenty alone.
