The Bath Festival of Motoring will be held on 16th and 17th June at the Walcot Rugby Ground in Bath this year, featuring an amazingly varied display of classic and vintage cars and motorcycles.
The event will once again be a fun-filled weekend for all the family, and all in aid of charity.
The Festival is a two-day event run by Bath Rotary Club and will again raise money for two main charities, Freewheelers, a team of motorcyclists who voluntarily transport blood and other essential life saving products and “Time2Share”, an organisation which gives time to improve the lives of disabled children in Bath.
Last year the event welcomed over 500 exhibitors and in excess of 6,000 visitors through the gate.
The vehicles ranged from a 1904 Renault to a 2012 Maserati Saloon, offering people the chance to see a spectacular range of cars and motorcycles spanning the 20th and 21st centuries.
This year will feature a very special visitor – the full size “Bloodhound” supersonic car display model will be visiting for the whole weekend – a rare chance to get up close and personal with the British vehicle challenging to be the first ever to travel at 1,000mph, on land.
Simon Spalding, from the Rotary Club of Bath, said: “Our fun event is being held over Father’s Day weekend, so it’s a great place to have a family day out that will give anyone who likes cars and motorbikes, old or new, a real thrill – and help us raise money for charity.”
As well as some amazing vehicles, there will also be live music, great local food and drink, and stalls and activities for the whole family, making the festival a great way to while away a few hours.
Entrance costs just £10 per adult (over 16), and up to 3 children are allowed in free with each adult ticket-holder.
Tickets can be bought in advance from the festival website here: www.bathfestivalofmotoring.com.
