Families who have lost a baby are being invited to a special winter remembrance service at All Saints Church in Weston, close to the Royal United Hospital.
The event, organised by the RUH’s Chaplaincy and the stillbirth and neonatal death charity Bath SANDS, will take place on Saturday 30th November at 2pm.
The event will offer an opportunity for families who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death to come together and remember at the beginning of a season that can be hard for so many.
The service, for people of all faiths or none, will include readings, music and a chance to light a candle in memory of lost babies. There will be seasonal refreshments after the service.
The RUH Bath Birthing Centre runs regular meetings of its Butterflies Support Group for anyone who has been affected by the loss of a baby.
The Trust offers a full bereavement and support service for grieving parents and families, including a purpose-built Bereavement Suite that provides space and privacy they need at a particularly difficult time.
