To celebrate International Older People’s Day, Age UK B&NES is organising an afternoon of music and dancing at Bath College next month.

This will take place on Thursday 29th October from 3 – 5pm at the Shrubbery at the college’s city centre site.

There will be an afternoon tea, with Matt Finch from Bath College at the keyboards and Kay Fobb leading the dancing.

Janet Dabbs, chief executive of Age UK B&NES, said: “If you would like to come along and celebrate Older People’s Day with us at this free event, please call Jemma Batten on 01225 466135, or call into our office at 18 Kingsmead Square, Bath, to let us know so that we can make sure there are enough sandwiches and cake for everyone.”

Bath College Health and Social Care students will be getting involved too, welcoming attendees and joining in the dancing.

The event will also showcase the work of European project, INTGEN, which Bath College and Age UK B&NES are partners in, along with Small Business Focus in Bath.

The European wide project aims to provide intergenerational mentoring for entrepreneurs both young and old.
