City of Bath College has happy students who are satisfied with the high quality of their education.
An impressive 93 per cent of students have their academic needs met, according to the latest National Student Survey (NSS).
The vast majority of students who responded to the survey were full of praise for the College’s high-quality learning experience.
They were asked about every aspect of College life, including teaching, assessment, learning resources, personal development, support and the Students’ Union.
The College’s student satisfaction rate increased seven points from 86 per cent in 2012.
The latest figures rank City of Bath College as 12th in the country for student satisfaction ratings among Further Education colleges.
Principal Matt Atkinson said the high satisfaction rate was a testimony to College staff responding to the diverse needs of students.
He said: “At City of Bath College the quality of the student experience is at the forefront of our continuous improvement plans.
“The NSS results recognise the hard work of our staff and demonstrate that the College is going from strength to strength.”
The annual poll to measure the quality of the student experience is carried out by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
Around 304,000 final-year students at 154 universities and 165 FE colleges across the UK were asked for honest feedback on what it was like to study their course at their institution.
The national average student satisfaction rating was 85 per cent.
