Mary Heron from Clifton, Bristol was the winner of the Best Dressed Lady award at Bath Racecourse’s annual Ladies Day, which took place on 20th August.

As well as a cheque for £1000 Mary also won a luxury Kiehls hamper, Cutler & Gross designer sunglasses, a luxury Lexus car for the weekend, EF Medispa treatments, a Marshfield Bakery hamper, full afternoon tea at Tracy Park, a massage and facial from Sacco Beauty, a karaoke and prosecco night from The Cork, Bath, and a bouquet from Fiesta Flowers.

Talking about the hotly contested competition, Jo Hall, Executive Director at Bath Racecourse said: “Our ‘Best Dressed’ team roamed the site with an iPad taking shots and entering our stunning and well-dressed lady visitors into the competition.

“A shortlist was selected and the images of the top six were shown on the racecourse TV system in bars, restaurants, and boxes, and on the big screens at the racecourse, with people encouraged to vote via text.

“Mary looked absolutely stunning in her dress from The Pretty Little Dress Company which designs and makes dresses in the UK, so it was no surprise she won the public vote and was the clear favourite with other 70% of the votes.”

Speaking about her win Mary Heron said: “I’m absolutely delighted. Ladies Day at Bath Racecourse is a wonderful day out and a chance to get dressed up and enjoy a high class event.

“I’m very flattered to have won, and I am thrilled with the wonderful prizes.”

Ladies Day is one of the most keenly anticipated and enjoyable racing fixtures at Bath Racecourse and always attracts a huge crowd. Gentleman’s Raceday, sponsored by Rainbow Casino, takes place Saturday 10th September and is sure to also provide a great day’s entertainment.
