The Bird, Bath on Pulteney Road is to launch a Winter Wonderland experience for the city on Thursday 22nd November, to coincide with the opening of the Bath Christmas Market.
To be found in a starry woodland setting, dressed with real trees, giant decorations and a whole host of life-size animals from polar bears to penguins, reindeers and camels – it’s expected to be the perfect seasonal spot for all the family to drop in for Christmas cocktails, a relaxed bite to eat and experience magical festive vibes.
The festive food offering ranges from seasonal bowl food, such as bronze turkey croquette with sprout leaves, garlic and bacon or butternut, chestnut and Bath Blue tagine, to more relaxed options such as wood-fired pizzas and raclette, and sweet treats such as churros and caramelised nuts, served all day, while cocktails take their cue from the classics with a festive twist.
The likes of the popular Sleigh Bellini and a Winter Spritz, also available as sharers, will make an appearance alongside a Mrs Claus’ Cosmo, a Red Nosed Mojito and warming Mulled Mead.
There’ll also be fine wines, local beers, ciders and plenty of soft drink options too.
Guests will find a warm and cosy feel inside and out; there’ll be a veranda with heaters and seating with faux fur rugs outside while inside there’ll be myriad seating areas to really make the most of the festive scenes.
With a singing reindeer, and camel, as well as various bars serving everything from warming hot chocolate to mulled drinks, there’ll be no shortage of Christmas cheer on offer.
“We wanted to create something really fun for locals and visitors alike this festive season,” said The Bird’s owner Ian Taylor.
“Bringing together all the different elements of the best of Christmas, there’ll be plenty to keep everyone entertained, whether they’re popping in for lunch, festive drinks or have booked one of our special party nights.
“We hope people will come along with family and friends to experience it for themselves.”
The Winter Wonderland will open on 22 November and continue through to 31st December, from 10am to 11pm daily.
