Plans for a three-storey student accommodation block at Odd Down have been submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council.
The “student cluster unit” of 15 bedrooms is proposed on a site at the rear of 9 Upper Bloomfield Road where there are currently 14 garages and an outdoor parking space for up to eight vehicles.
The application, which has been lodged by Westlea Holdings Ltd, says the area surrounding the site is largely residential but with a range of local facilities, including a choice of convenience store within an easy walk.
There would be no parking provided for students, but secure covered bicycle storage is proposed.
There would be two car spaces for the management’s service vehicle and for disabled users’ needs.
The planning reference is 23/04528/FUL and the deadline for comments is 2nd February.
