Local home care provider Bluebird Care Bath has launched a recruitment drive following the end of the government’s furlough scheme.

Bluebird Care staff in Bath

Bluebird Care Bath specialises in working with people who live with dementia, physical disabilities, and many other acute and chronic conditions.

The company works alongside families, social services, and the NHS to ensure each person receives the care they need.

The home care provider says it is eager to extend employment opportunities to individuals across Bath following the end of furlough, as well as offer new opportunities to those who have lost their job due to COVID-19.

Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, Bluebird Care Bath has continued to go from strength to strength, now reaching more vulnerable individuals across the region.

It is now recruiting up to 10 full time and part-time roles, including Care Assistants and Live-in Care Assistants, in an effort to support as many vulnerable members of their community as possible.

When asked what type of people they are looking to recruit, Emily Naether, Marketing, Social Media and Recruitment Lead at the home care provider, said: “We are looking to recruit caring, compassionate, and reliable people who are happy to go the extra mile for the members of their community.

“Being a Care Assistant with us doesn’t require previous experience, as we look for people who are ready to learn, adaptable, and want to make a difference.

“We appreciate the transferable skills that candidates can bring across into care with them. We have previously recruited from hospitality, retail, education, animal care, and health and beauty sectors.”

Wednesday Watson, HR & Recruitment Officer, added: “We have a large demand of vulnerable people within our community who wish to return home, so the more we can recruit, the more people we can help.

“We know there are members of our community who will make wonderful Care Assistants and we really want to hear from them.”
