Staff at the brand new Flourish Foodhall and Kitchen are putting the finishing touches in place for their planned opening next Thursday, 24th June.
Located between Bristol and Bath at Saltford, the new venture includes a 2,000 square foot foodhall, an open kitchen seating 110 and an outside terrace area with a further 40 seats.
In keeping with the company’s B-Corp ethos to minimise their environmental impact, customers are being encouraged to bring their own reusable containers to take advantage of the fresh milk dispenser and loose items such as nuts, pulses, dried fruits, pulses, grains and sweet treats such as yoghurt covered raisins and chocolates.
In addition, over the past year, the team has been working to source as many products as possible from local suppliers to reduce ‘field to plate’ miles.
Paul Castle, managing director at Flourish said: “The opening represents years of planning with farmer, Adam Stratton, to transform what was a group of dilapidated farm buildings and cow sheds into a fabulous new foodhall and kitchen.
“We can’t wait to welcome the local community to Flourish. We have an amazing array of local suppliers on board and a host of different areas such as a butchers, deli and pizzeria for eat in or takeaway for people to enjoy.”
Flourish will be open 8am until 7pm Monday to Saturday and 10am until 4pm on Sunday.
