Marks & Spencer has today officially revealed Wednesday 4th February as the opening date for its new flagship store at SouthGate in Bath.

Signs went up for the new M&S store in November
Spanning 83,000 sq ft, the new store in the former Debenhams building will deliver M&S food, fashion, home and beauty for customers across four floors.
Timings will be revealed in the coming weeks.
M&S first announced the relocation from its existing location in Stall Street in the summer of 2024, part of a larger investment across the South West, including a new full-line store at Bristol’s Cabot Circus which opened in November.
The relocation to the old department store, which has been empty since 2021, is costing £17 million.
M&S today confirmed to the Bath Echo that it is continuing to work with Bath and North East Somerset Council on the future use of the Stall Street building.
Last November the council said M&S holds a long lease of the existing premises, which still has a “very significant period” left to run, so any decision over the future use of the building would rest with the retailer.
The new store will include a bakery and fresh produce from M&S’ Select Farms (100 of which are based in Somerset) as well as dedicated flower and wine shops.
