South West based chartered accountancy firm Milsted Langdon is celebrating after having been shortlisted at the prestigious Tolley’s Taxation Awards 2016.

The firm is one of just 5 nationwide to have been shortlisted in the “Best Tax Practice in a Regional Firm” category.

The firm has offices in Bath, Taunton, Bristol and Yeovil.  The firm’s growing Bath office is supported by tax partners Rachael Verinder, Stephen Griffiths, Rob Chedzoy and Simon Denton, who between them cover everything from personal and corporate tax advice, R&D tax relief, share scheme planning and VAT and Stamp Duty advice.

More widely the firm provides pragmatic and commercially focused accounting, tax, corporate finance and insolvency advice to business and individual clients, with a particular focus on owner managed businesses.

The firm employs around 200 partners and staff throughout the region.

The winners will be announced on 19th May at a black tie event at the London Hilton, Park Lane.

This gala night is recognised by the industry as one of the most prestigious in the accountancy and taxation calendar.

Judges were impressed by the strength in depth of the tax team and breadth of advice offered, as well as the firm’s impressive growth, innovative approach and positive client testimonials, which marked the firm out from other entrants from across the UK.

The shortlisting panel commended Milsted Langdon for reaching this stage, commenting on the exceptionally high quality level of entrants from across the country.

Ian Lloyd, Partner at the firm’s Bath offices commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted as Best Tax Practice in a Regional Firm, which recognizes the hard work put by all of our managers and staff over the last 12 months.

“We are focused on providing clear, practical advice to our clients to help them run their businesses as effectively as possible, and it was great to see many of our clients providing positive comments in support of our entry.”

This award follows the firm being named as “Independent Firm of the Year” in the South West category at the British Accountancy Awards in 2014.

The firm also has the distinction of being the only company to have been named the “UK’s Best Large Accounting Practice” at the AccountingWEB Practice Excellence Awards.
