People living in Peasedown St John and the surrounding area are being invited to a big community breakfast this Friday, in a bid to bring locals together.

The village’s Residents Association, which was set up in 2013 to organise social events for the community, is hosting the event.

Newly elected B&NES Councillor, Karen Walker (Independent, Peasedown St John) said: “The Residents’ Association have worked hard over the last year and developed a reputation for putting on fun and enjoyable events for local people.

“Following on from the success of two previous Big Breakfasts, Christmas meals for the elderly and Children’s Easter events, this Big Breakfast is not to be missed.”

Peasedown’s Big Breakfast will be held on Friday 22nd May, from 10 am – 1 pm at St John’s Close Community Hall (BA2 8JE), next to Albert Avenue.

All funds raised at the Big Breakfast will fund summer fun days during the warmer months.

Full English Breakfasts are £2.99 each.

Karen added: “I’d encourage everyone to come along and support the upcoming Big Breakfast.

“Peasedown Residents’ Association has already raised almost £2,000 this year from successful grant applications and fundraising.

“Of which, all the money is going straight back into paying for community activities.”
