Men are being encouraged to match the ladies for elegance and style at this year’s Ladies’ Day at Bath Racecourse, with the chance of winning a new Best Dressed Man prize.

A highlight of the Bath social calendar, the annual Ladies’ Day event at Bath Racecourse is not to be missed and attracts thousands of visitors.

Glitz and glamour are the order of the day, but this year’s event, which takes place Saturday 22nd August, is set to be extra special with the addition of the new Best Dressed Man prize.

The ladies meanwhile will be competing for the coveted Best Hat as well as Best Dressed Lady prize.

Gates open at 3pm with the first of seven races starting at 5pm. Sponsored by Imagine Cruising and Holland America Line, Ladies’ Day is extremely popular and this year is already shaping up to be a success with many of the hospitality, marquee and restaurant packages already sold out.

“Ladies’ Day is traditionally one of our most popular race meetings,” explained Jo Hall, Executive Director of Bath Racecourse.

“The event is always very well attended and the ladies of Bath and the surrounding area certainly know how to impress.

“This year we are expecting the event to be even more glamourous and we are looking forward to seeing the menfolk also dressed in their finest. I’m sure we can give James Bond a run for his money.

“As well as the traditional racing we are also looking to add an extra maritime element to the day with themes and promotions being developed in conjunction with our kind sponsors Imagine Cruising and Holland America Line.

“Grandstand tickets are still available, as are tickets for the Fabulous Fillies Package and Hamper & Pamper Package, but we recommend people book early to avoid disappointment.”
