Lansdown Golf Club, based near the racecourse in Bath, has announced it is to hold its first ever ‘BIG Bath Business Golf Day’ event, taking place on Friday 23rd May.

The club is hoping that this will become an annual event and is keen to encourage businesses from Bath and the surrounding area to get involved by entering individual and team players, as well as considering the profile-raising benefits of taking competitively-priced sponsorship packages.

Golf Manager, Terry Mercer, said: “We have kept sponsorship and participant rates at a very affordable level for the first year and would like to encourage businesses to invite their staff, clients and industry colleagues for a day of great golf, some fun and networking, and a dash of competitive spirit all fortified by a wonderful menu for the day by our fantastic new chef!

“We look forward to giving a warm, Lansdown-style welcome to the businesses of Bath and beyond!”

The event is open to individual players or teams of four, who will be welcomed on arrival with refreshments at 12 noon, and will tee off at 1pm to play the 18-hole course.

Hot dogs and beer will be provided on-course, and the day will end with drinks in the bar as players come off the course, followed by a four-course dinner and prize-giving. Tickets cost just £60 for an individual or £216 for a team of four.

There are single hole and headline sponsorship packages for the day, with single hole sponsorship starting at just £60+VAT, and headline sponsorship at £250+VAT. Each will include a comprehensive package of marketing and PR profile-raising benefits for the sponsor.

Lansdown Golf Club and Ladies European Tour Pro, Bev New, commented: “This is an exciting new venture for us; we are keen to showcase our course and club facilities to local businesses, and aim to ensure The BIG Bath Business Golf Day becomes an annual event!”

Bookings can be made online at lgcbigbathbusinessgolfday.eventbrite.co.uk.
