Over nine hundred homes on the outskirts of Bath have lost power this morning after two separate faults caused a mass power cut across the area.

914 homes to the south of Bath have lost electricity, with other homes in BA2 8, BA2 7, BA3 5, BA2 2, BA2 3 being affected.

892 properties were caught in the first fault in Peasedown St John, and 22 in the second fault in Midford.

72 of these properties are registered as Priority Service customers.

Western Power Distribution has sent a team to investigate the first fault, which originated in Peasedown St John, with an estimation of supplies being restored by 12.30pm.

Power supplies in Peasedown St John, Combe Hay, Midford, Dunkerton, Southdown and Tunley are believed to have been affected.

Apologies to customers in #CombeHay #BA2 area’s for the power cut. We estimate supplies to be restored by 12:30. Sorry the disruption. Ellie
