This year’s Bath Fireworks Display arranged by The Rotary Club Bath and sponsored by Bath Building Society has been deemed a great success, raising £18,500 for charity.

The money raised will be divided between a number of local charities, including Bath Gateway Out & About.

Funds will also be given to The Bath Scouts and Bath RAG who supplied people to help on the night at the gates and with the street collection.

The remainder will be put into The Rotary’s Trust Fund for ad hoc funding requests that they receive throughout the year.

The Rotary Club Bath has been organising the Fireworks Display for six years now and Bath Building Society has been sponsoring the event for 39 years.

Tiffany Hardie-Evans, Spokesperson for the Society said: “This year was great, but we hope next year; being the 40th year of our sponsorship, will be bigger and better!

“Thanks to The Rotary for their excellent organisation once again and to Alan who seemingly pulls it all together each year!”

Alan Keeling, President of The Rotary Club Bath, said: “It was a fantastic year for the Fireworks Display this year and we appreciate the turn out from the public, I think it was the best display I have seen.

“We look forward to next year’s event.”
