First Great Western train services have been affected this morning after a partial derailment on a line near Westbury. All trains through the Westbury station are affected with many being cancelled or merged into other train routes.
First Great Western confirmed that the line was blocked by the minor derailment of the train last night, but the line is now clear through Westbury with disruption still occuring as trains passing through would not go to the station.
At this current time, FGW and South West Trains are accepting tickets from disrupted routes.
- First Great Western will accept South West Trains customers between Salisbury and Bristol Temple Mead via Reading.
- South West Trains will accept First Great Western customers between Exeter St Davids and Salisbury.
- CrossCountry will accept First Great Western customers between Southampton Central and Reading, and also between Bristol Temple Meads and Exeter St Davids.
