As part of a refresh by B&NES council of signage and road markings on local roads, work was completed this week at the Bus Gate in the City Centre.
Councillor Roger Symonds (Lib-Dem, Combe Down), Cabinet Member for Transport, said, “I’m pleased to say that Bath & North East Somerset Council has refreshed the signage and road markings at the Bus Gate so that motorists continue to have the necessary information to avoid infringing the rules.“
Although it was anticipated to take two nights complete the work , the Council was able to complete the work inside one night by using an environmentally friendly Hydro Blaster. This technology uses high pressure water to remove the old markings and minimises the noise and disruption to nearby residents.
