The shopping retailer Poundland, who’s stores can be found locally in Trowbridge, Keynsham and Bristol is set to expand its number of stores across the country, with a new one in Bath.
The store is expected to open during the week beginning 26th November in the premises that are currently occupied by Store Twenty One on Westgate Street.
Store Twenty One is currently closing down its Bath shop and will leave on the 20th November giving Poundland just one week to fit out the new store.
Poundland has grown rapidly over the past year with over 410 stores across the country. Last year, the store in Keynsham was opened by Emmerdale star Kevin Fletcher but it has not yet been released who will open the Bath outlet.
It is expected that the company will be recruiting local staff, and will also be holding a family fun day on the day of opening.
