Community groups, small businesses, and voluntary and charity sector organisations across Bath are being invited to attend a conference being organised next month.
Called ‘The Bath City Conference; 100 ideas for Bath’ it is an opportunity to get people together to discuss and share ideas to improve the City.
It will take place on Wednesday May 2 between 2pm and 8pm at The Guildhall with different exhibitions looking at subjects including the environment and sustainability, health, wellbeing and culture, the Business Improvement District and improving the public realm. There will also be keynote speakers and debates on subjects such as Neighbourhood Planning, The Public Realm and The Future of Bath.
The conference is being organised by a steering group made up of the Council, the Federation of Bath Residents’ Association, Small Business Focus and other community representatives.
Cllr David Dixon (Lib-Dem, Oldfield), Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, said: “Bath & North East Somerset Council is committed to putting people and communities at the heart of everything we do. We want anyone with an interest in the city of Bath, whether they live or work here, to come along. It’s so important that our communities are fully involved in generating ideas and taking positive action for the future of our City.”
More details about the conference will be released nearer the time but the Council is encouraging anyone interested in attending to get in touch now to register their interest. Please contact Stacy Pritchard on 01225 395429 or email her: [email protected].
