FINDING it hard to keep up at the back! Doors to restaurants, pubs and bars are opening at the speed of light from Saturday 4th July. But not all hospitality businesses are equal, in terms of reopening announcements and plans – and nobody yet knows how the ‘new normal’ will look, feel or work. Talking of which…
STILL digesting and discussing the results of two recent Pig Guide Twitter surveys, which resulted in a snapshot of opinions on reopening plans. Only 5.7% of Piggies have made a restaurant reservation for July 4th+, while a whopping 66.3% of respondents told us that they’re “not even considering it.” The same question posed regarding casual pub trips yielded similar results: 13.8% are heading straight to the bar, 55% are going in the opposite direction.
