This week, The Pig is mostly…

OFFERING massive congratulations to Bath’s Michelin-starred superstars! At the Olive Tree at the Queensberry Hotel, Head Chef Chris Cleghorn and his hard-working, super-dedicated team have retained their shiny Michelin star for the third consecutive year. Over at Lucknam Park, Executive Chef Hywel Jones and his Restaurant Hywel Jones team are celebrating their 16th year of stellar fabulosity, while in South Wraxall, the lovely Longs Arms are spilling fizz all down their Michelin Bib Gourmand. Three cheers to all! We’re so very lucky to have you guys on our doorsteps.

YAKKING loudly about Yak Yeti Yak yet (yek?) again! Tantalising Nepalese meals and fabulous spice blends courtesy of the Himalayan Spice Company available for collection or delivery every Friday and Saturday. Deadline for delivery is 12noon on Fridays, but you can still call in for an impromptu takeaway from the restaurant’s a la carte menu between 4pm-8pm… and earn yourself 10% discount on menu prices too. LOVIN’ the fact that Larkhall’s very own oasis of French fabulosity Ma Cuisine has recently launched an app that makes access to all manner of tres tasty ooh la la from their St Saviour’s Road HQ even easier. Not au fait with the app way of life? Worry not! You can still do it all ‘the old fashioned way’ via the website too. (https://macuisine.co.uk)

SUPER-EXCITED about the imminent launch of a brand new home delivery service conceived by  two Bath-based chefs with impeccable pedigrees. Aroama is poised to deliver “a world of flavour” to your door every Thursday-Saturday courtesy of a weekly-changing menu inspired by global cuisines. The adventure begins this week with a Korean feast (full, fabulous menu on the website) for just £16pp; the grub arrives in compostable containers ready to reheat, and failsafe instructions are provided. Delivery to BA1/BA2 is free, but orders must be placed by 3pm the day before you want your delivery. Exciting stuff indeed! (https://aroama.co.uk/)

BEING officially rewarded for my undying loyalty to the Oyster Shell by watching the credits on my online Loyalty Card accruing by the week. Get one stamp for every £10 you spend on online click’n’collect/delivery orders on the website and/or app and grab yourself a £10 voucher for every 10 stamps earned; winner, winner, fish’n’chip dinner!
