This show from Bath’s venerable Natural Theatre Company isn’t in any way a traditional panto – though it references panto, and lots of other Yuletide traditions, not to mention TV shows, festive food and much more.

The entire thing, which has a cast of umpteen characters, some from Xmas tradition, some not, is performed by just three irrepressible gnomes – yes, gnomes : Ivor (Amy Vickers); Hobby (Hannah Rachael); and Toe (Alexandra Ricosa).
These three are a veritable tour de force of comic talent, fizzing with energy and brilliantly daft antics and songs, sometimes individually, mostly in perfectly-timed timed and hugely entertaining unison.
There are references to obscure facts in the history of Christmas festivities, appearances from historical characters – Henry VIII ; William Strickland (who?) and utterly bonkers ones, like secret agents The Mince Spies.
Altogether this is an exquisite 75 minutes of non-stop high-energy warm-hearted fun for the festive season, that will appeal to all ages. Don’t miss it. It’s a cracker!
